I’m not going to sit here and pretend like credibility doesn’t matter — of course it does.
Between Jesus, Moses, Buddha, Muhammad, Dante Alighieri, Joseph Smith, L. Ron Hubbard, Richard Dawkins, or Carl Sagan…
(For the record, some of those listed should be regarded as more trustworthy than others, but you know… peace be upon them all, and all that…)
Who are we to trust?

Like a cosmic rendition of “Horton Hears a Who”, our individual and collective ability to hear the voice of God should be regarded with some skepticism, but should also not be completely disdained as nonsense.
Our human relationship to Divinity has always been perforated by doubt, and also rife with grifters eager to profit from our inclinations to reach out and touch transcendence.
I’ve written fairly extensively on the subject of the nature of reality, the self, truth, and knowing it — if such a thing is truly possible.
