“Maranatha!”
This one’s primarily for followers of Christ, but nonbelievers and other religions can play, too.
What would you give up for Christ to come back tomorrow?
Your habits?
Your house?
Your job?
Your car?
Your phone?
Your identity in the world?
Your marriage?
Your children?
If “making the world right” meant any of these would be erased from your life, would you ask Him to postpone His return?
I’m not saying it is (or should be) necessary to offer any of these things up as “sacrifice”, but I am asking you to consider:
How much do you prefer this world as it is to a restored Creation?
All I’m saying is, if you’re looking forward to unwrapping presents and drinking egg nog by the fireplace more than 0% homelessness… no more bioengineered “foods”… no more suffering… Whatever it may look like, Maranatha!
