Letter to My Divine Feminine Counterpart

A Valentine’s Day Special

This isn’t just for a woman, or all who identify with their femininity. If you’re a guy — married, in a relationship, or single, this may still be worth reading.

This is just a little generalized digital Valentine’s Day card from a man learning to do better.

Heck, put applicable parts in your own card and tell her you came up with it, what do I care?

Dear Valentine,

First and foremost, I’m sorry.

Sorry I haven’t been there.

Sorry for my dysregulated anger and mismanaged emotions.

Sorry for my fear of commitment and my disloyalty — both the emotional and physical.

Most of all, sorry for all the poor expressions of masculinity that I’ve embodied over the years, and better versions I’ve fallen short of living up to.

I promise I’m working on it.

All of it. All the time.

I know I can do better and be better — kinder, a better listener, more attentive, more patient, more dedicated.

Embracing the paradox of being. Writing about spirituality, philosophy, and personal experience, I hope to make you both laugh and think. Maybe even learn.
